Pitch ​

Al'Ula is a narrative-driven puzzle game where you manipulate the faces of a room using a Rubik’s Cube like object. You play as Mariam, an astronomer in Fes, Morocco, in the 13th century.
One day, she comes across a mysterious object. After an accident while studying it, she finds herself trapped in a strange dimension where an unknown entity is trying to contact her. She now wishes to unravel the mysteries of this dimension and escape this space.

Isolate specific tiles for visibility

Save positions of all props in play mode, taking into account the room's rotations

Save the room's current layout in play mode to implement Correct Action feedback

This allowed the team to implement complex level design/art more easily and quickly.
